Beijing , a whole new world

Let the adventures begin! We arrived to Beijing Thursday around 4 pm. The flight was very nice, we were lucky to fly business so the accommodations were very nice. We’ve been here a couple of days now and my jet lag has only improved somewhat. I really got hit hard with the time change and am trying hard to get well for Monday, our big union with Jack. I’ll be okay , just need sleep.

Friday we had an amazing tour of the Forbidden City. Wow, it went on and on and on and on. It seriously was like the never ending tour, but our guide Jason is super adorable and so positive. Here are some pictures from that day.  image image

Yesterday was the tour of the Great Wall. We climbed all the way to the top of one of the parts of the wall. It was freezing cold and has actually snowed the previous day. So apart from there being a massive amount of Asians all trying to climb with us, it was slippery and rather treacherous at times. But we had to do it. Don’t think we’ll be coming back to the Great Wall anytime soon.

So kinda funny, the picture in the middle, with me and two of the Chinese women- because of my blonde hair I am considered a rarity here. Josh and I are constantly being asked to take pictures with random Chinese folks . Josh because he’s tall and me because I’m blonde.  You should have seen the flocks yesterday.  It was actually pretty surreal and as a whole, they don’t have any space boundaries so if someone came up and grabbed me by the arm, I could assume they wanted a picture with me.
